The Management of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa warmly received Hon. Afolabi Afuape, member House of Representative representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency at a Jumat Service organised by the Muslim Community of the Institute. The Rector, Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye who identified Hon. Afuape as his friend and a notable personality in the country reitrate his commitment towards development of the Institute. While requesting the support of the Muslim body of the Institute in terms of prayer as he believed in the power of prayer and pledges to donate a public address system to the Institute's Mosque. Other Principal Officers present at the Jumat prayer include the Ag. Registrar of the Institute, Mrs Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, the Ag. Librarian, Miss Udi Eseoghene Deborah, the Ag. Bursar, Mr. Abdulsalam Yunus Ololade, Deans of various schools, Directors and other members of staff were at the prayer held on Friday, 29th September, 2023.

In a symbolic gesture of Goodwill and commitment to fostering a harmonious relationship with the host community, The Management Team of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, led by the distinguished Rector, Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye, paid a courtesy visit to the revered Oloja Ekun of Igbesaland, HRM Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin Akinde FCA. Dr. Abiodun, in his address during the visit, emphasized the importance of extending a warm greeting to the people when venturing into a new environment. Since assuming office, he saw it as his doctrine to connect with the community and share the Institute's vision for development. The primary aim, as Dr. Abiodun articulated, revolves around the development of the institute, and he earnestly sought the support of the king in all aspects of this noble endeavor. He commended Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin's leadership, expressing confidence in his willingness to offer unwavering support to their cause. Furthermore, Dr. Abiodun expressed his commitment to developing the Institute and sought the Royal father's support in various aspects, which include reclaiming encroached land of the Polytechnic, sought the indigenes of Igbesa to contribute to the institute's growth by donating classroom, laboratories and other infrastructure that could make the Institute meet up with the Global standard. In response, HRM Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin FCA expressed his deep appreciation for the visit by the institute's management team. He reiterated his commitment to providing all necessary support to the institute as an integral part of the host community. He emphasized that all efforts would be geared towards the overall development of Igbesaland. He earnestly implored the king to leverage his esteemed office to engage with prominent companies in the region, encouraging them to contribute to the institute's growth through their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Dr. Abiodun further challenged the king to visit OGITECH and leave a lasting legacy that would bear his name. He also expressed his determination to usher in a transformative era for OGITECH during his tenure. In response, HRM Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege, not only congratulated his close friend Dr. Abiodun on his recent appointment but also shared his profound belief in the paramount importance of education. The king vowed to closely examine the mass communication department at OGITECH, particularly the studio, with the aim of enhancing its effectiveness. He pledged that the companies within his sphere of influence would henceforth play a significant role in OGITECH's Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. Drawing from his extensive academic experience as a lecturer in two prestigious UK universities, specializing in journalism, the king promised to bring talented individuals, both from home and abroad, to enrich the Institute's academic landscape. The visitation was marked by warm greetings and heartfelt discussions on the future of OGITECH and the role of the people of Ogun West Senatorial District in advancing the institution's initiatives. Dr. Abiodun, a son of the soil in Ilaro, underscored the importance of collective efforts to support the new administration in achieving its developmental goals. He particularly emphasized the need for the Institute to engage and encourage the people of Ogun west to contribute to its growth. In response, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle warmly welcomed the OGITECH Management team and congratulated the new Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, on his appointment. The king expressed his confidence in Dr. Abiodun's leadership and vision for development. Drawing from the past success of the institution, he stressed the importance of teamwork in achieving progress and advised the Management to be prepared for challenges, assuring them of his support in advocacy with senators and relevant offices. Furthermore, the Olu of Ilaro encouraged the indigenes of Igbesa land to actively participate in the development of OGITECH, emphasizing its paramount importance to the region's growth. He also advised Dr. Abiodun to view his staff as family and maintain a harmonious working relationship.
