About The School


Overview: Education is an essential commodity across demographics. Its essentiality is not any more effective in the metropolis than in the rural communities. Its empowerment is far beyond building suitability for the labour market and the edge to carve a niche in the business world. It is first of all a virtue that brings completeness to humanity; and this virtue eventually becomes a tool with which great careers are pursued and business empires are built. The need to expose this virtue to all and sundry informs the establishment of the SCHOOL OF PART-TIME STUDIES. It promises to provide suitable study opportunities to: • Candidates unable to secure JAMB admission to study full-time • Working-class fellows who desire to study for higher Degrees/Qualifications • Retirees who desire to pursue other dreams or adventures Entry requirements for National Diploma Programs: • Five O’Level Credit in English, Mathematic and three other related subjects • Not more than two (2) sittings in the West African Senior School Certificate of Education (WASSCE), Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE), National Technical Certificate (NPC), General Certificate of Education (GCE), West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or National Examinations Council (NECO) Entry requirements for Higher National Diploma Programs: • All requirements for admission into the National Diploma • National Diploma result with a minimum of LOWER CREDIT • Not less than a year of the compulsory Industrial Training Work Experience • Candidates with a PASS Grade level in National Diploma is expected to have not less than two years Industrial Training Work Experience to be considered eligible to apply Available courses for Part-time Programs as captured under respective Faculties/Schools SCHOOL OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT STUDIES (SFMS): • Accountancy (ND & HND) • Banking & Finance (ND & HND) • Taxation (ND & HND) SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES (SBMS): • Business Administration (ND & HND) • Marketing (ND & HND) • Public Administration (ND & HND) SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SCIT): • Mass Communication (ND & HND) SCHOOL OF PURE & APPLIED SCIENCE (SPAS): • Computer Science (ND & HND) • Science Laboratory Technology (ND) • Statistics (ND & HND) • Microbiology (HND) • Chemistry (HND) • Physics with Electronics (HND) SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (SET): • Computer Engineering Technology (ND) • Civil Engineering (ND) • Electrical Electronics Engineering (ND & HND) • Mechanical Engineering Technology (ND & HND) • Welding and Fabrication (ND) SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (SES): • Building Technology (ND & HND) • Estate Management (ND & HND) • Urban and Regional Planning (ND & HND)
