Overview of Quantity Surveying Quantity Surveying Programme is aimed at producing Quantity Surveying Graduates that are capable of performing basis functions in Quantity Surveying Practice both in private and public sector. Course Objectives Preparation of Bills of Quantities and specification for works Preparation of Tender Documents Management of Projects Costing of construction works Cost control techniques in construction and engineering works Selection of materials and techniques for new building system, etc. Available Modes of Study: Full Time, Part Time, Part Time Evening, ODFeL Full-Time Entry Requirements for ND Programme (A). S.S.S.C. or its equivalent (N.T.C., W.A.S.C., G.C.E. O’Level, NECO) with credit in English, Mathematics and Physics and any other two subjects from the following: Further Mathematics, Fine Art/Technical Drawing, Geography, Economics, Chemistry/Biology, Agricultural Science etc. obtained at not more than two sittings. (B). Five credit passes in relevant subjects as stated in (i) above obtained at the final examination of an NBTE recognized preliminary ND programme offered in a polytechnic or similar post-secondary technical institution. Entry Requirements for HND Programme 1. The minimum entry requirements for ND programme in Quantity Surveying. 2. National Diploma in Quantity Surveying only. 3. A minimum of one year Post-National Diploma cognate work experience where a candidate has a minimum of lower credit. Where a candidate has a pass, he shall have not less than three (3) years of cognate work experience.
